Staff Absence software

What do you use?

 

Currently using Activ Absence but want something more geared towards school staff.

 

Must sync with SIMS (if this is even possible any more!)

 

Looking at EES Capita's offering (SAM) but not sure as its part of the bit that has been sold off, so development\updates may become an issue in future.

 

Any help much appreciated.

Thank you- unfortunately, Inventry doesn't do remote logging of absence, does it? That is what our staff is used to now, logging in to a system and reporting absence.

We use LeavePlanner for annual leave.

 

It does allow staff to log in and report same-day sickness although we don't allow them to; they have to go through line manager as normal.

SAM is not owned or developed by Capita but is resold by them. We use it and it works well, but I would suggest going direct, not through Capita. They are releasing some more bits which ties into HR, called SAMpeople, if you need it but the staff absence part saves us a lot of time each month and we don’t use all the functions.

Yes we found out about SAM and SAM People yesterday--glad they aren't linked to ESS.
