I added the appid service to auto in the GPO and it works kinda... it would seem if I wait for a minute after logging in, the rule works as expected but if I try immediately after logging in I can use the app. (and keep using it even after closing) (it stops appx applying that rule) This is not behaviour I've seen documented anywhere. Also the app is blocked for my admin user despite only applying to the "students" group. (which it is not a member of, I checked) urgh..
jthompson Posted May 28, 2021 Posted May 28, 2021 How do you have your AppLocker rule for it set up? Is it a deny rule for your student group? The service not running until a minute or so after login sounds weird. Is the GPO that sets that service running doing that under computer configuration?
