Morning All,

The need for research into InTouch has fallen on my desk this morning and where better to start than here. I'm currently reading through posts but they tend to always show an issue or negative slant. For every issue are there several with no issues?

I've had the sales spiel and documents/flyers - now I'm after real world opinions.

Happy to be DM'ed if it helps.

Many thanks

Like all systems, when it works, it works ok, but when it is down, it can be a nightmare especially when talking to support who want you to go through the standard fault finding steps even though as IT people we would have already done before contacting their support.

Can only send 10mb attachments so in that respect can be a but limiting at times.

It uses Office 365 as its backend and we have had 2 instances where we could receive messages via intouch but not send any.

This did cause major issues during the time schools were due back after Christmas and then the Boris announced schools to stay closed. - ended up manually sending emails out to all parents!

I contacted their support and they said all ok on their end - and after I kicked up a fuss and basically told them that Office 365 will be blocking the account then confirmed this and unblocked it saying their monitoring system was at fault.

Like all things capita, interface could do with updating.

Hope that helps

We've used Edulink instead - is a far nicer interface and offers many other extra features. We never found in-touch much good - was a very old and clunky interface...
