Google Classroom - teachers first name is displayed

I have just had a teacher ask if I can remove their first name from Google Classroom, so it says something like Mrs Smith.

 

Is this possible to change just for Classroom?

No, you can't change just for Classroom. The only thing you can do is change their firstname on Google Workspace for Education to Mr, Mrs, Miss etc.

We just put the first name as the initial

yep, most of the teachers are fine but they have one that insisted on changing it.

Which will just focus the children's attention all the more when they see the first names of all their teachers except one.

We were asked to have all teachers first names as just Mr, Mrs, Miss, etc. Really made emails hard to scan when gmail shortens things to save space on the screen, eg email thread with Mr, Mr, Miss, Mrs, & Me.

Shock, teachers have actual names. The kids know their names anyway.
