G-Suite 2 Factor

Hi

 

I have turned on G-Suite MFA requirement for our users and given them a grace period to enroll.

 

Does anyone know if there is a setting to exclude MFA prompts on the internal network? If so can you point me in the right direction as I can't find it.

 

This is how we have our 365 setup.. no MFA in the internal network but forced on the external and would like to have the same setup with G-Suite.

Last time I looked there wasn't which is why I ended up using Microsoft as the G-Suite security provider.

 

When they sign into Google with their username it redirects to the Microsoft logon page and uses those settings.

Thank you - I thought this might be the case. Unfortunately this isn't an option in this particular scenario - the school is using a legacy G-Suite tenancy that we are in the process of retiring this term as they transition into our Trust Office 365 / Google platform that is already linked. Just didn't like the idea of them being single factor until September.

Just wondering as Office 365 make it pretty easy in some cases to get SAML working and to redirect other services to it for Auth/MFA

Well, that's a little like there not being an option for keyless entry for a car, so just leaving the doors open and unlocked, but ok...

Yes SAML, was very easy. Not the slickest logging into Chromebooks but everything else is straightforward.. just got to leave all the windows open too.
