mshakespeare Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 Hi, We currently have a problem completing our year-end in FMS. When we run the Preliminary Close everything passes apart from 'Rebuilding Summary Totals'. We don't get any error, just a red cross in the status box. Has anyone had this before? Capita are currently unwilling to help because we are running SQL Server 2019.
Steve21 Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 Have you run the report on why it failed? If you select it the report button should be ungreyed Steve
6Foot2 Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 For problems like this our Finance team took their support, initially from SIMS directly (quite some time ago!) then later took it from our LEA who had certification for SIMS FMS support. Do you know if you have a similar option available to your Finance team?
PhilNeal Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 I should escalate this issue inside ESS - the problem is highly unlikely to be SQL version related!!

Agreed but if you're running software on an unsupported platform, and it's widely advertised that it's currently unsupported, then they have to draw the line somewhere. That then leads me to wonder why such business critical software is being ran on a database version that isn't supported by the vendor...
