View host server login session within a web browser

Hi all

 

I'm looking to enable users a window to a virtualized host machine via a web browser.

No control of the host will be required as this is for information purposes only.

 

The host is sits on VMware esxi vSphere and a HTML service is not enabled by default to my knowledge.

My understanding is that what I wish to achieve is possible via VMware Horizon View HTML which would be installed on via client software on the host machine acting as a website and accessed via a specific port in a browser window.

 

I wondered whether anyone had already tried this via the means above or via an alternative product.

Currently the host is shared via a VGA splitter to multiple screens around the site and I'd like to remove these allowing the users to access the information as-hoc rather than having to rely on a separate screen.

 

Any ideas would be greatly received.
