It's Friday, I should know better, but I've done something to our Canon copier which means it now no longer prints. I was looking at options for codes for users when copying and now all print jobs fail. Papercut says they are printed, Canon says no, error #866 which is Status: A job with a security violation error was detected. Remedy: Check the content of the job.

Any ideas? I've turned off the code options so I had hoped it would go back to normal printing features, but no.

Have you rebooted the copier to see if that helps, I know someone only apply settings after a reboot. I know on Sharp's as soon as you revert the code option it lets you print once you reboot.

Yup, most times it asked once a setting has changed. I've just done a full power down and back on as well. Edited by Danp

Sorted, think it might have been Papercut restart on the server, but at this point on a Friday I'm not sure what was the final thing!

I've never put PaperCut on Canon, could be worth a look through here if you are struggling.

Thanks, it's not even that complicated, we were not using the embedded version

I've only ever done it on Sharp & Toshiba and one Konica but was a bit of guess work on that one so cannot offer anything more other than that.

Thanks, I'm quite sure it was just bad timing, Papercut had a moment on the server around the same time I was looking at codes on the copier.
