Divaldo Posted March 15, 2021 Posted March 15, 2021 I've recently taken on a site with a Unifi wireless network but it is in a remote location so i cannot actually see any of it, just the controller interface. There is an area which has poor wireless coverage at the moment so I'd like to add an additional AP. It currently has UAP-AC-Lites throughout, can I add another and uplink it via wireless to an existing UAP-AC-Lite? Or would that model of AP require a wired uplink? The site also has a couple of UAP-AC-Ms, what would be the benefit of those over a UAP-AC-Lite? Please forgive the basic beginner questions! Thank you.
XiJ Posted March 15, 2021 Posted March 15, 2021 The AC lites will do it. I had some serious performance issues when we had an issue where one had linked as a wireless uplink. Mind you, it was sending a full iMac ict suite of data back and forth to the server. So if it’s bit services to many devices and / or traffic is fairly light, worth a go imo
