fiza Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 We have been using 1809 successfully and now our machines are moving to 1909 and 2004 but we are finding that users can no longer use the File Explorer Search facility. Clicking in search does not even let them type anything. Has anyone seen this issue? Could it be a group policy that worked with 1809 that is now causing issues with 1909/2004?

I had this at home and just ended up rebuilding the PC. It had been running for a few years and had all sorts of stuff installed and Windows updates. 1
Ditto Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 I think I had this recently. I can't be certain, but I think I went to Indexing options and removed some excluded directories. I know it started working again but may have need a reboot, but certainly not a full re-install. 2
