[sims] Leaver still appearing on registers

I have saved a (primary school) pupil as a leaver but they are still appearing in the class registers, and being picked up on the missing marks reports & there are no Z codes from the leaving date onward on their attendance record.

I have deleted the original 'accepted' application for the pupil and all the leaving details are in there. How can I stop them from the appearing in class list & reports and get the Zs on the attendance record?!
