CheddyGee Posted February 17, 2021 Posted February 17, 2021 Hi Everyone! Hoping I could get some help with the above; I understand this is a fairly common issue and is usually due to bookmarks syncing with iCloud, however this has started happening very recently (within the last week or two) to some of our managed Apple iMac & MacBook devices - some of which don't even have an iCloud account signed in! It's happening sporadically, number of individuals experiencing this issue are scarce though growing inconsistently and there's nothing we've changed or updated from our end (MDM System). All users are running MacOS Mojave and we've always encouraged staff to use Google Chrome as oppose to Safari anyway. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
AntonioRocco Posted February 18, 2021 Posted February 18, 2021 Just a suggestion but have any of the users experiencing the problem signed into iCloud using a browser by any chance? Due to the randomness of the problem I'm thinking that could be the reason? If you've enabled logging on your proxy/web filter server then you could inspect them and see if they correspond when an end user reports the problem.
CheddyGee Posted February 18, 2021 Author Posted February 18, 2021 Hi There, thank you for the reply. They haven't signed into iCloud.com however we believe that the issue may have been caused by a recent Safari update that must have run automatically.
