RiffRaff Posted February 3, 2021 Posted February 3, 2021 (edited) Hi, I have added our Heads of Year as a member in every class in their respective year, so that they can dip in and out any remote lessons and check up on the students. They are now moaning about receiving massive numbers of e mail alerts for lessons being set up in their year as well as the lesson chats. Is there a way to limit what emails/notifications a particular user gets from Teams? Thanks Edited February 3, 2021 by RiffRaff
sister_annex Posted February 3, 2021 Posted February 3, 2021 Hiding the team may help with that, not sure about emails, but i'm pretty sure hiding stops the in app notifications

Thanks We got round this by creating a dedicated account for the Leadership Team/Head of Key stage to use that is in all the teams. They then login with that account when needed so they don't get hundreds of e-mails, calendar entrys and notifications from our 500 class teams 2
RiffRaff Posted February 3, 2021 Author Posted February 3, 2021 Thanks for that suggestion, I have a look at doing that.
FN-GM Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 I would setup email rules for them to delete them or drop them in a folder. There are only 5 heads of year so it shouldn't be a drama. Better than creating generic account IMO. 1
DaveTheTech Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 There is a Team extension for Teams called Classroom Dropin 1
TJ-Diggers Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 We add a mail rule so users do not get an email from Teams when added to a team. 3
