We've been using teams for a while but we've started to notice some issues as we move staff and students around groups in line with their timetables in regards to calendar entries

If say we move a students from maths1 to maths2 the calendar entries don't also seem to move across. So the student doesn't get the calendar entry for maths2 once moved from maths1 and still sees the old calendar entry. They can go into the new team and join the meeting advertised in the general channel.

I thought the calendar entries were group based and carried over depending on who is in the group. Is this accurate?

I wonder if this is a teams thing that doesn't quite work or if this is something we as users are missing when we create the calendar entry?

Staff are targeting the channel rather than adding people in as attendees. I had a thought that there could just be a really long delay in the calendar parts syncing over

We had it again today. We've had a leaver we removed from the system but the calendar entries they set in teams didn't remove when we removed the account.

So far the only thing to solve it is to restore the account, login as them and delete all their calendar entries

We've only just started using onenote properly so that link you've shared will be very helpful.

the calendar entries for users are not group based, but generated by the invite e-mail that gets sent when a meeting is done.

The calendar does not know if you move Teams as all it know is you were invited and if you've accepted, declined or not responded yet
