rossibIT Posted January 22, 2021 Posted January 22, 2021 Hi Guys, I have an HUE HD Pro camera that I'm trying to install. I have deployed via PDQ successfully. The issue with this at this moment is I can see it via the camera app on Windows but as soon as I put an app (with more functions) with it that HUE have suggested to use with it the camera is non existent. Have checked the camera privacy settings and all seems Ok and done the simple stuff of changing the USB ports but with no success. Any help greatly appreciated.
dhicks Posted January 22, 2021 Posted January 22, 2021 The issue with this at this moment is I can see it via the camera app on Windows but as soon as I put an app (with more functions) with it that HUE have suggested to use with it the camera is non existent. The Hue cameras should be seen by any Windows / Mac / ChromeOS device as a simple generic USB camera, and should work with any camera software, including web-based if you like, with no special drivers or application needing to be installed. I'm not sure when Hue last updated their software but it might now not be the most up-to-date. Also, if you're using the handy desktop stand, I've found the USB port on the upright section can sometimes be a little loose / wobbly, creating connection issues with the camera - try plugging the camera-ona-stick part straight into the USB port and see if you get any better results. 1
highsky Posted January 23, 2021 Posted January 23, 2021 Are you using the HUE Intuition app? On our environment this shows any available cameras. The only thing to check out will be the any odd GPOs blocking list
