T_Lister Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 Has anyone else had their calendar events vanish. This is happening to staff that have created meetings and it's happening to pupils after they have accepted a meeting?
Boredguy Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 Had a few reports this week, but staff just re-created them since there was some bugs at the start of the week with Teams
Techie-v2 Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 Have seen this too throughout the week. Thought it was Salamander overwriting the calendar entry and changing it back to an "Appointment" rather than a "Teams Meeting".
mullet_man Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 We had this and I believe the issue was Salamander reverting calendar entries, I knew about this behaviour before this as we had a teacher who liked to keep notes on his calendar but they were getting lost when Salamander synced each night. So a while back Salamander made some changes so that users in a certain AD group the calender entries were added once and not reapplied each night. So I've added all our teachers to this group so this isn't happening anymore. Althouh I do think Microsoft have had issues recently as staff have mentioned missed meetings, had one today who couldnt create reoccurring meetings in Teams came up with an error but the event was still being created.

What would happen if a teacher/class had a timetable change?
mullet_man Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 Am not sure how it would handle a timetable change, I think it was set to add the event on once and then not re apply it each night. Am not sure how timetable changes are dealt with currently would it delete all old ones and future ones or just do future ones from the date of the change?
T_Lister Posted January 18, 2021 Author Posted January 18, 2021 Certainly an interesting theory with Salamander as we do use it. Our Timetable has been changing a number of times though so it would be an impactable modification at this time. Food for thought though.
