Teams Bug - Messaging Extensions

Seems using the New Meeting Experience in teams renders the messaging extensions useless in Chat. One of our teachers flagged the issue when they wanted to use the MS Forms bot in the meeting chat.

 

I've logged a bug with MS Teams but would be grateful for a vote to get it pushed up the list a little.......

From Microsoft: The messaging extensions is grayed out by Default when the new meeting experience is turned on, To be able to use the messaging extension feature New Meeting experience should be unchecked or the web teams can be used as this doesn't have the new meeting experience by default.

But you will then lose Breakout Rooms until it becomes a standard product.
