neonetman Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 I've had a couple of cases of a member of staff being unable to load Teams client on a PC, and am struggling to find the root cause, and resolution:- * All staff have redirected documents/desktop/appdata folders (via GPO) * STaff profiles are local * Office 2019 Pro PLus is deployed to all PCS * Teams machine wide installer is installed on all PCs * "User" can log on to any other PC and Teams works fine * Any other user can log on to this PC and Teams works fine * I have deleted the users local profile from the PC and this has made no difference I'm at a loss where to look next, as in theory this should have covered all eventualities
3s-gtech Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 Are they still logged on elsewhere? Then when they test elsewhere, they’re just going to the machine? I had great fun with that one, our setup didn’t allow it even though AppData is local - roaming AppData seemed to get locked when in use.
neonetman Posted January 6, 2021 Author Posted January 6, 2021 I'm not sure - I'll need to check - - - Updated - - - What error do they get? THere is no error - Teams just doesn't load

I'm not sure - but it does appear to be specific to an individual PC. If it was related to being logged on elsewhere, I would expect it to move depending on where they logged in first
jhothersall Posted January 7, 2021 Posted January 7, 2021 We are getting staff to install it them selfs (put a shortcut in redirected staff menu to Appdata) and I have noticed updates are causing issues. I have had to delete the Teams Appdata folder so many times to fix this for staff ....
