[2004, 20h2] Windows 10 Copy Issue

Hi all,

 

I have posted a video on the link belowregarding issues copying files on Windows 10.

 

Does not matter where it is being copied from and to on the laptop or even to and from an external hard drive.

 

This is the latest version of Windows 10 20H2, but I have encountered this on earlier versions and also using Win 10 Pro and Win 10 Education. Also the same issue occurs regardless of the manufacturer of the laptop, in this case HP or Lenovo.

 

These are not imaged laptops or any modifications have not been done.

 

I believe the issue is certainly to do with updates. Before updates are installed, there doesn't seem to be the issue.

 

Please see the video link. I will be very surprised if others have not encountered this. I look forward to any thoughts.

I know you said it's not an imaged laptop or any modifications, but seeing you have custom software installed like Teracopy are you sure it's not an issue with that? Seeing it normally replaces the standard copy/paste functions with its own?

 

Never seen that occur on any versions of Windows at all, and the fact you say it's affecting so many models/versions suggests its something that's being installed out the ordinary

I would remove teracopy and get windows back to standard and then see if it still happens

I've installed terracopy onto thousands of Windows 10 without any issue at all. However, removing terracopy is a fair point and maybe causing the issue. Ill remove it and let you know.

It was teracopy causing the issue guys. Well done.
