maxrebo Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 Please could someone confirm what the recommended "Preferred and Alternate DNS server" IP configuration should be for our DNS servers (also Domain controllers) - I currently have them to point to the IP address of themselves and the secondary DNS server) We're having a few black screens upon logon (for desktop wallpaper redirection) I'm thinking I might have this set incorrectly Thanks
Michael Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 That's how I set it, then typically Google DNS acting as forwarders. Themselves can either be the actual IP or 127.0.0.1, then a secondary server IP. 1
Mujja Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 Is the desktop wallpaper on a remote share? If yes, modify the GPO to copy the image to the local computer and apply the wallpaper from the local disk. As for your DNS server IP config, it's what I do.
