IT Service Manager Opportunity in a high profile Independent School, closing date this weekend.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic IT Service Manager to work for a highly respected and admired client in the Education sector. Role Overview

As the IT Service Manager, you will be responsible for first and second line support for our client’s IT services. You’ll be an integral part of our client’s IT team and play a vital role in ensuring the IT services are of the highest quality.

 

The salary is between £40,000 and £45,000 per annum. A number of benefits are attached to this role including free lunch during term time, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, healthcare insurance and a wellness allowance. The position is full time Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm.

The successful applicants will need to undertake a DBS check as well as several other safeguarding screening procedures.

 

Responsibilities:

 

● Take responsibility for network infrastructure.

● Help drive and develop new IT strategies to safeguard and enhance our client’s IT systems for the future.

● Purchase new IT equipment when needed and tender for IT products.

● Manage and take responsibility for the IT Helpdesk team.

● Keep a record of all IT assets.

● Provide excellent service to IT system users, and take responsibility for server capabilities and issues. Improve processes where possible.

● Manage and solve any issues that arise, and monitor any recurring problems.

● Review performance of the IT Helpdesk.

● Contribute to IT policies including data protection.

 

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

 

● At least 3 years of experience working in IT support.

● Relevant network qualification or equivalent experience.

● Experience of the following: TCP/IP networking, Active Directory/Group Policy management, IT Infrastructure management, ITL.

 

 

Person Specification:

 

● Good organisational skills.

● Excellent communication, both written and verbal.

● Ability to prioritise workload and work flexibly.

● Attention to detail.

● Comfortable working on your own or as part of a team.
