Morning all. Trying to help out a parent. Their childs laptop has sustained some water damage and it's only a few months old. Everything is working fine except a number of the keys, but as with all new machines its seems, the keyboard is integral to the palmrest. The shop won't touch it, and the cost for HP to repair it is more that 70% the original cost.

Does anyone here have any good contacts for HP spares they could share?

Thanks in advance.

Which model is it? Some of them involve replacing most of the body of the laptop to replace the keyboard as it's all integrated. If it's one of those it is an absolute nightmare and I have further damaged a laptop trying to do it, and I like to think of myself as quite competent at dismantling and putting back together laptops.
