Windows 10 Issues Copying Files to Desktop

Hello,

 

Have Windows 10 version 1909 Build 18363.418

 

If try to copy files to my PC the screen flashes quickly and then the file has not copied.

 

There is no access denied and I don't think it is a permissions issue, I think it maybe an issue with the build.

 

I can create shortcuts and save as to the desktop, just cannot copy files to anywhere on the PC.

 

However, can copy files using a command line.

 

Any help greatly appreciated.

Event log points to a kernelbase.dll error

 

Faulting application name: explorer.exe

The screen flashing suggests an Explorer crash. Maybe try a vanilla W10 install joined to the domain and see if the error still occurs under the same user profile. That might help you determine whether the error is within you system image or being caused by settings applied by your environment, Group Policy, etc.
