Software for Redaction - For Subject Access Requests/etc

Just wondered what everyone was using for redacting sensitive information when processing subject access requests/etc.

 

I guess technically you can use any app like Microsoft Word/etc to blank out parts of a document but I'd wondered if anyone used dedicated software specifically for redaction and GDPR requests?

LibreOffice had a redaction feature, where it blacks out blocks of text then generates a PDF file.

Adobe Acrobat has a pretty good redaction feature. It allows for text to be marked for redaction and then reviewed before being applied.

Also give reassurance that redacted content is completely removed from the document, as in not hidden behind black boxes but actually removed from the document data.
