APC Smart ups network monitoring?

I'm going to add Network management cards to our APC Smart UPS fleet, I'm aware of the APC PCNS software that manages the graceful shutdown of the servers but how do you go about monitoring these UPS`s over the network?

Is it a case of login to each UPS (once network enabled) ? or can you use the Powerchute software? (last time I used Powerchute you could only monitor COM or USB attached devices)

The management cards will be able to report various metrics (battery temp, remaining runtime, etc.) over SNMP. We use a Check_MK server to automate and visualise that info (checks every 60s or so). You'll be able to see those stats by logging into the webgui of the management card as well, but that will likely just give you a current reading with no historical data (other than a log of alarm events).

Thought they might be a monitoring tool where you can view them all in one app, but SNMP works just a well I guess.
