Hi, trying to setup a virtual Pc on a networked Pc so that pupils can logon to the virtual pc to enable them to create work for their course work (functions that are disabled at the moment trought group policy (create shortcuts, right click etc etc..)

Is there a way of disabling the "settings" option when they launch virtual pc console?

(group policy or local)??

currently this would give them the option of changing all settings on the virtual pc (ie network adapter, name etc...)

How do you guys do this?

cheers

in virtual pc console goto file, options, security. You can then password protect the settings.

suppose i should have looked for a little longer ;)

We looked at doing this a couple of years aho but were worried that some of the more 'creative' pupils might be able to download a copy to use at home and create their own configuration file with some on the more sensitive settings (network cards/etc) enabled. Not sure if there's a way to stop this on newer versions of the software?
