I am pulling my hair out with the following error on my one of my sharepoint servers

 

Event ID 6482

Application Server Administration job failed for service instance Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.Administration.SearchServiceInstance

 

this server is the one i am trying to enable search on

 

we have 2 front end servers (NLB) 2 application servers (NLB)and clustered sql 2005

 

have googled the problem and got noware any help would be great
