Using M365 A3 for just one user?

Hi there,

 

I'd like to use the Booking App, but we only have M365 A1 licensing and Booking requires A3 licensing.

 

Do I need to get an A3 license for the whole school, or just for one user in order to use it?

The scheduler(s) need E/A3. The staff participants need a licence that supports scheduling of Teams Meetings. I am not sure what licence *doesn't* include scheduled meetings for Teams.

 

Watch out though, an E3 licence will light up loads of E3 features for the tennant, even though only one user is licenced to use them.

Only the booking administrator needs A3, who sets up other bookable staff, services availability, etc. So only one A3 license is needed technically.
