pablo007 Posted October 9, 2020 Posted October 9, 2020 Hi All we have Konica Minolta C3100P, which drives me crazy with their sleep mode. Our site team tests the fire alarm first thing in the morning the roll call never prints because they are in some deep sleep. does anyone use Paxton net2 that uses the automatic roll call printing function that can recommend a decent printer that just works every time there is a fire alarm practice or the site team test?? Thanks in advance Pablo
FN-GM Posted October 9, 2020 Posted October 9, 2020 I’m pretty sure there is an option to turn off this power saving sleep. We had this (quite some years ago) and it drove the users crazy.
pablo007 Posted October 9, 2020 Author Posted October 9, 2020 if there is we haven't found it and Konica do not know either and beleive me we have searched..
MatthewL Posted October 9, 2020 Posted October 9, 2020 Surely if a print job is sent to it it should wake up, is there not an option to tick to do this? Do you have to wake it up manually each day then?
pablo007 Posted October 9, 2020 Author Posted October 9, 2020 Ah you would think that would be the case wouldn't you but no we have to physically switch the machine off and back on again utterly useless
sted Posted October 9, 2020 Posted October 9, 2020 Ah you would think that would be the case wouldn't you but no we have to physically switch the machine off and back on again utterly useless bit of a crummy solution but a smart/timer plug that turns it off every few hours?
Koldov Posted October 9, 2020 Posted October 9, 2020 (edited) Is it this? If this machine is switched to Sleep mode in factory settings, it automatically shifts to Deep Sleep mode that reduces power consumption further than when in Sleep mode. However, this machine cannot be shifted to Deep Sleep mode if: -An optional i-Option LK-111 is employed and the ThinPrint function is enabled. -An optional Authentication Unit AU-201 is connected. Related setting (for the administrator)When this machine is in Sleep mode, you can select whether or not to shift to Deep Sleep mode that reduces power consumption further than when in Sleep mode.To configure settings: Menu/Select - [ADMIN SETTINGS] - [sYSTEM SETTINGS] - [POWER SUPPLY] - [CONSUMPTION] (Default: [ENABLED] http://cdn.cnetcontent.com/c7/7d/c77d3d1a-0910-46ae-966f-9c3bbfa7c41e.pdf Edit: [Disabled]: Select this option when a smooth network communication is not established while [Enabled] is enabled. [Enabled] is specified by default. Edited October 9, 2020 by Koldov
