Nova-T6 - splt each class between two teachers and two rooms

Struggling to get my head around this one.

Reg groups in Year 9 are split for these 2 lessons. So I need to split the group and assign one teacher to each, just for these lessons.

Vic seems to be on to something with Derived classes. I've used this to conjoin two classes of different year groups to be taught be one teacher at the same time. I can't think how you do that to one class splitting in two. Can anyone help please?

Here's Vic's post:

Two teachers in the same class seems wasteful . So quite unusual .

You can if they are splitting the kids split a class it's called derived classes tht should split teacher names

Try holding ctrl when you drag the subject on top of the one you want to split, that should then divide the group into 2 for you, at which point you can assign your staff/room and schedule as normal. It should then allow you to divide that group within your assignment into the a/b class.

As Cache says, CTRL-dragging the subject in the model will do the split. You should see the and b classes in the Nova-T Classes screen and can also select a or b from a drop-down when using the Edit Staff window.

The following bit is only in case you were talking about a situation where you need to split the group for some, but not all, of the lessons for a particular subject within a block:

If so, as I recall, you can put the subject in twice on the same row - once with the number of whole group periods and once with the number of periods you are going to split, then use the CTRL-drag method to split that 2nd instance. In this situation you'd just need to build a bit of the block again as well. (We used to do it for GCSE PE with whole class theory and M/F practical).
