Windows 10: Google Chrome failed to sync account

Hello,

I'm not sure if other schools are facing the same issue, we are a school that uses GSuite for Education. Children were able to login fine before September but now all of a sudden everytime they login to Google Classroom they get an error saying it can't sync [email protected]

I have tried the following and now running out of ideas

  • Clearing cache
  • Deleting the PC username and re-create after deleting the folder
  • Reinstall Chrome
  • Incognito Mode (WORKED)

Even though Incognito mode worked, I'd still prefer the normal Chrome Tab to work. Staff accounts work fine, it's just the children - it isn't the Google account that is the issue as they were fine outside of school so it must be something in school preventing this from working.

So how do you provision users in G Suite?

Do the pupil accounts still work outside school post September?

Have you tried Internet Explorer or Edge for the purpose of testing?

And have you tried tethering a school device to your phone, so it bypasses school filtering and firewall?

Hi,

All pupil accounts work outside of the school without an issue.

I have tried Edge and IE and they both work as well as Incongito Mode on Chrome.

I have also signed in sucefully on a school iPad as a child and worked fine.
