themanfromict Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 We are trying to deploy our Windows 10 image use PXE boot to our desktops, however we keep getting error messages about formatting the hard drive. Our Deployment server is 2016. Deployment wasn't an issue until about March, when the desktops stopped deploying. Laptops we don't have a issue with, they work everytime. We have tried multiple desktops, swapped hard drives, nothing works. Any ideas?
Jcx500 Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 What brand computes are they ? , could be an issue with bios/uefi settings
themanfromict Posted September 15, 2020 Author Posted September 15, 2020 HP. Tried switching between legacy and UEFI during the summer...
chazzy2501 Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 why not update the boot wim from a win10 2004 iso? maybe a driver / firmware change is upsetting desktops.
Steve21 Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Sound like it's missing storage drivers, do you have something on the machines setup in bios like soft-raid even if it's not enabled on the desktops? We've found before you sometimes either need to fully disable it, or ensure you've added in storage drivers to the boot images Steve
