video recording and editing software windows 10

Hi all I am looking to record myself on my inbuilt webcam to record and then edit a quick video interview, I cannot see the wood through the trees in terms of the myriad software available so does anyone have any recommendations for windows, ideally I would be able to output in various sizes so I could manipulate the size of the finished piece?

Windows 10 has a nice built in video editor, if that does not fit the bill I always fall back to openshot (editor) and OBS Studio (recording) both free.
