Old School query

Back in the days of NT, 95, 98 etc you could copy the contents of a folder from the installer to to C:\Windows or C:\WINNT so no prompt when installing roles as such, can anyone remember what went where?

Features/tools/extras what ever you want to call them.

 

You used to go into add remove and add bits in there like themes etc it would prompt for the disk but if you copied them to the machine it knew to look there first.

are you trying to do this to an old os, or windows 10?

Do you mean the c:\i386 folder?

I think its that folder yeah, you can copy to to a location within C:\WINDOWS if I remember rightly, years since I done it on Win 98!
