Hello All,

Just wondering how powerful WSS3 is for data analysis after completing a hosted survey.

I have seen how a survey is presented on WSS, and viewd the results as students were taking surveys, but i wasnt sure what could be done with the data afterwards, or whether it was simply a static page.

We would like to host subject feedback surveys for students, internally and online. And then be able to drill the data afterwards to specific staff or subject.

Could i achieve this through WSS, or could you recommened an alternate software package?

Cheers

The data is in a SQL database so you can do with it whatever you want, assuming you know how to handle SQL data (I haven't looked at the surveys but the rest of it is relatively easy to get to so I'd guess surveys are OK as well)

An instant data export is into an Excel Workbook, obviously not as powerfull as a full SQL Extract but better than just getting figures for yes / no etc.

Thanks, i have just created a testbed server, and exporing to excel certainly has some power. I will look into SQL Reporting Services when i am a little further along the path and on full MOSS.

Cheers
