joeknex Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 Hi, I have an Aruba 2530-48G network switch and I'm trying to use an Ubiquiti UF-RJ45-1G transceiver. https://www.arubanetworks.com/en-gb/products/networking/switches/2530-series/ https://www.ui.com/accessories/fiber-modules-cable/ I've run the 'allow-unsupported-transceiver' command, but just get one green blinking, 1 second on, 1 second off led. Does anyone know why this would not be compatible/working as other Ubiquiti transceiver work, just not this model. Thanks
Guest Guest Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 Aruba switches are picky about SFPs they'll work with. We had this recently and had to get one which was listed as compatible
Davit2005 Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 (edited) I've had Success with Ipolex SFPs on HP Switches for home off Amazon. They are a lot cheaper than the £150 HPE versions for an SFP+. To be honest you can spend hours like I did trying to bring up a switch because of a incompatible SFP at a previous employment just save your self the trouble and get a compatible or a manufacturer model.
