Opinions on Hikvision Colourvu IP cameras?

I've just had a chat with one of our suppliers and they mentioned these:

for low-light areas to avoid the "your corridor's a bit dark, I'm flipping to infrared mode" from IP cameras.

 

Has anyone got them installed and how effective are they at providing decent colour video in low-light / night-time, assuming some ambient light from outdoor lighting or similar?
