I had an Olympus Trip 35mm years back and it really was so good that it was hard to take a good pic with it.

Maybe that's where they were going wrong [emoji6]

They seem to be left behind in the DLSR video market from what I have seen, maybe I am watching the wrong reviews and just focusing on DSLR for video. Many YouTube Videos from vloggers or video makers and there seems to be little mention of Olympus it is mostly Sony, Panasonic or Canon.

Is a shame my dad was a lot more into photography than me, I still have his old OM1-n and a few lenses.

Urgh, had a headcold all week!

It really was an excellent little camera as this review shows -https://www.35mmc.com/27/03/2016/olympus-xa2-review-love-camera/

I got it second hand from Wilkinsons Cameras complete with the flash unit. Even then, for the late 90's it wasn't cheap at almost £100 for the camera and seperate flash unit (which screwed into the side).

Don't forget Nikon! But I think thats more of a Photographer based camera than vlogger.

I seem destined to pick one of the also rans. I had Minolta SLRs until they went bust and am now on the Panasonic micro 4:3 system.

I'll keep telling myself it's because they're selling the better technology at too low a price, so can't make the business work, rather than that I can't identify the best product....

(Evidence in my favour? Sony bought up Minolta's photographic business and turned it into a success. Clutching at straws?)
