Turning Azure AD Connect dir sync back on, wont let me!

Last night at about 8pm I turned off Azure AD Sync to do some maintenance but it is not letting me turn it back on now. Researched online and found a bit about, won't let you do this within a period of time, a time period of what could not be established 4 to 72 hours, I've only a few users as it is a lab environment?

 

The command I ran last night was

PS C:\Apps> Set-MsolDirSyncEnabled -EnableDirSync $false

 

To try and establish sync again I am running

 

PS C:\Apps> Set-MsolDirSyncEnabled -EnableDirSync $true

Set-MsolDirSyncEnabled : You cannot turn off Active Directory synchronization.

 

I've gone through this with no resolve yet https://chanmingman.wordpress.com/2020/01/09/office-365-you-cannot-turn-off-active-directory-synchronization/ this shows it is still pending disabling, is it just a waiting game?

Log a ticket via the portal with MS and they will call you back within 15 minutes.

 

But if the docs say it takes 72hrs you are probably out of luck.

I might just wait it out, it is only a lab environment so won't hurt. I have found that MS support are pretty good from years back, after all they want us in the cloud subscription model, lol.
