Adobe settings to open Adobe document automatically.

Hi

 

Are their any settings you can change in Adobe so that when you open a file from internet explorer you aren't ask to save or open the document it just opens. so don't get the below;

Related, but not quite the same, in Chrome it shows a preview of the PDF which I find more annoying than the IE approach. In both cases, just want the file to open in Adobe Reader - it's as if file associations aren't the same anymore. Is this a general browser thing nowadays.

Yup. It's the default behaviour for Firefox, Chrome, Chromium Edge, Safari and I think even Trident Edge did it too.

Don't ask we use a backoffice system with all sorts in invoicing, Phone recording, reporting all in house developed linked systems but on work with IE I know. This worked ok till recently but we are rolling out sandblast and works where we haven't rolled out Check Point SandBlast Agent and defaults have changed and now asked to open the PDF rather than it automatically opening.
