For anyone interested in becoming a Google Certified Educator, I'll be part of a team of Google Certified Educators, Trainers and Innovators from around the world making up the Google Educator Group Global GEG, delivering a free boot camp which will go through some of the basics to help you prepare for the level 1 exam! It's an absolutely free session (worth around £200!) and kicks off today at 2pm!

It's the teaching qualification. I have Level 1 and 2. Handy to have even if you're not a teacher because it shows that credibility to the teachers that you know what you're using and how it's used.

That's absolutely not the intention, although I can see where you're coming from.

 

Google Educator Groups are 100% volunteer non funded grass roots community groups that serve the purpose to help inspire educators around the world to get started with Google for Education to help bring great digital experiences for their children.

 

Many of the people watching this boot camp won't ever pay for a training session of the sort and so we are trying to capture an audience that would otherwise be lost or left aside.

 

Ultimately, there will be some cross over between what PD partners do and what GEGs do, but in creating these communities, Google are well aware of that.
