Network / Systems Administrator (Central IT Team)

 

37 hours per week. Whole Year. Permanent

 

Support Staff Salary Scale £22,755 - £24,831 (New Point 12 - 15)

 

 

 

The Heart of Mercia Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) require a Network / Systems Administrator to work on the Central IT Team. This newly formed team currently leads the delivery of IT Services across Hereford Sixth Form College and Worcester Sixth Form College in addition to various MAT IT requirements.

 

 

 

In order to carry out the above duties, the post holder will be required to work from Hereford Sixth Form College and Worcester Sixth Form College as directed. In future they may need to travel to other institutions in the multi-academy trust at times.

 

 

 

The Network / Systems Administrator is required to manage and support IT systems within the MAT. You will work with other members of the Central IT Team and local helpdesk staff to enable the use of current and future technology to support student's learning. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who can communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service to both staff and students.

 

 

 

The post holder will be expected to work with stakeholders and help develop and implement the MAT and College IT strategy.

 

 

 

The normal working hours would be 8:00am – 4:00pm Monday to Friday. Some out of hours work will be necessary e.g. for system maintenance to minimise disruption to staff/students.

 

 

 

You should:

 

Have significant IT support experience preferably within an educational environment

Have up to date knowledge and understanding of IT developments

Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels

Have excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure

Be pro-active with the ability to act on your own initiative
