Sims question - Solus patch 1st June

Hi, Hope you all on the forum are keeping well.

 

Apparently there is a new sims patch to install for absences.

Guidance for SIMS schools for attendance from 1st June 2020 – Version 3 (01.06.20)

 

Schools should resume taking an attendance register from the 1st June. Whilst not mandatory, applying a

consolidated patch 25863 will ensure SIMS is able to assist schools in meeting the DfE requirements of reporting on

attendance during the Covid-19 outbreak.

Has anyone managed to install this? We don't seem to be able to see the patch on solus.. even though show all updates is ticked.

 

The latest patch we see is: 25863 - attendence codes for SAGE daily reporting

 

Any help would be great!

I checked first thing this morning and we didn't have it either. We had an email through from our SIMS support and the patch appeared in Solus, applied and seems fine

We had this to install.

 

I think the DfE guidance changed so it may have been withdrawn.

I've been sent a document from a school that has information about them adding the codes 7, 8, and 9 (well aliases to I and Y respectfully) and been told by another school that it allows you to enter 8, 9, or Y without raising an exceptional circumstances routine.

 

I'm waiting to get access to it myself in our test system to see how we'll handle it for our attendance write backs with our other schools, so really hope they aren't pulling it and changing it!

We installed Patch 25829 it then it got pulled from what we have been told. We are waiting for the revised patch. Edited June 3, 2020 by willtech

Keep a Lookout.. You are right.. the patch got pulled.

 

New ones are coming out with SAGE codes etc.

This was the reason why I could not see the patch I was looking for.

Patch 25863 installed fine for us last night. I've not seen 25829 show up at all in Solus.
