dmartin1018 Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 We had to go for Office 2019 with KMS activation on our student shared desktops and put Office 365 on our staff laptops as they have their own devices. Office 2019 does everything we need it to and will continue to get updates for a while into the future but I cant help feeling as though it is the final nail in the 3 yearly cycle of Office coffin.
dazza007 Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 I cannot believe that Microsoft did this to me! It was all setup! I tried following the procedure on https://contosoedu.com/deploying-office-365-proplus-device-based-subscription-for-edu/ I get to step below it is greyed out and google tells me I need an Azure A1 premium licence, evidently I am tired but how do I get a dynamic group Click on Dynamic device members Add dynamic query
DrCheese Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Part of me wants to strangle MS for making this change whist we're all in partial lockdown... So existing DBA clients are fine - We're told to switch over to "Shared computer activation" or this new "Device based subscription" - Can we get this on OVS or do we need the new M365 licensing? (Which I can't switch to as I'm mid OVS)
