Exchange Limits

We are enforcing a 20mb limit on all the mailboxes but as you know there are always one or two that think thay deserve more.. is there a way to have a couple of users outside the 20mb limit enforced in properties in the Private Information Store?

Presuming you use outlook you can archive the messages and leave the archive open and move messages between the Exchange mailbox and the archive or you will have to create another mailbox store for these users.

Yes there is, I'm home at the mo so bear with me if this isn't 100% accurate!

 

In acitive dir users and comps you should have exchange settings/options (assuming you have the exchange tools installed on the PC/server). One of the tabs (exch general settings?) has a mailbox settings/limits options you can specify individual ones there which overides it. We use it here for the 'special' staff who think e-mail is another file store!

 

As I said I'm home so the above will be close to reality!

Yes you are right and yep it's the ones that think keeping 6mb files in Outlook is a good thing :-)

Yup, I use that a lot for people like me that have magical unlimited mailboxes (great things they are ) Tick the box to say use these limits and dont set any and its happy with unlimited
