robyholmes Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 I'm sure I read a thread on here a while back about pre-provisioning UWP apps to speed up local account creation? I now can't find it. Can anyway remember this and know of any links to either the post or documentation for it? Thanks, Rob
Arthur Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 Was it the following post you were thinking of? www.edugeek.net/forums/how-do-you-do/177638-one-line-very-brief-helpers-7.html#post1837056 2

Arthur Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 (edited) It certain was! Have you tested or being using this? It's on my list of things to test (just haven't got around it it yet). @3s-gtech or @simpsonj might have though? Edited May 11, 2020 by Arthur 1
simpsonj Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 Alas I haven't had the opportunity to test it! It's on my list of things to do, but a little ways from the top...
3s-gtech Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 I haven't, but it sounds like my kind of thing! As I've been through all of our old laptops, I've found several where the app removal hasn't occurred before I removed the GPO, meaning they've got a ton of UWP apps on them for no reason. Will work through it when I'm next in work.
Asgard Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 We have just started rolling out our latest build (1909) - decided to go with a fresh install as it’s been inplace upgraded since 1511. We have an iso that’s extracted, then the junk we want removing from the .wim then we inject/pre-provision Sway Whiteboard To-Do unmount the wim and it’s thrown into SCCM. Happy to send you my notes if it helps, but we have also started to use SCCM with the store integrated to add apps to machines that way which has been pretty cool.
