elsiegee40 Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 Someone may be able to help me! Mr gee40 is trying to get outlook working on his personal iPhone 8 and his company IT people aren’t getting anywhere. When he left his previous employer back in December, he uninstalled all apps associated with them. This time, as instructed, he has installed Intune Company Management and signed in to that with his new login and Intune has prompted a Management Profile to be installed on the phone for the new company. (There are no other profiles; I have checked) He installed Outlook from the app store but when he tries to sign in he gets the authentication screen for his previous company not the new one. So he is logging in as [email protected] And the authentication screen is headed company1 and prompting for the password to his login [email protected] I have been deleting apps, doing forced restarts and have got nowhere for over four hours. Any ideas?
MatthewL Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 Anything in the accounts & settings for the old company, account might still be in there?
5tu Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 (edited) Is the old account still listed under Settings > Passwords and Accounts? Edit: @MatthewL beat me to it! Edited April 30, 2020 by gybe78
5tu Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 Worth checking ‘Settings > Passwords and Accounts > Website & App Passwords’ too.
elsiegee40 Posted April 30, 2020 Author Posted April 30, 2020 What a palaver. We have finally cracked it! I installed the Excel app and that gave me the options to login for company1. I deleted the login from there. I then installed the Microsoft Authenticator app. This showed company1. When I deleted that it gave me the option to delete company1 from all apps, so I did. Mr gee40 then logged in to Outlook and it took him straight to the Authenticator app and that accepted his company2 credentials. It then flashed up a message and closed Outlook. He reopened outlook and signed in a second time with his company2 credentials. This time he got the authentication PIN texted to him and he entered that and was able to get to his emails! That’s wasted most of a day and tested both me and his company2 IT technician to the limits! 1

Just for reference there was nothing in any of those. I had checked early on in this process. Microsoft clearly has its own way of squirrelling accounts away.
RLR Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 With iPhones and iPads our MDM can push out profiles for mircosoft and google and request people login. I'm wondering if the company still has this phone in their mdm that is pushing these settings to it?
