Out of curiosity, if you’re going Cisco for your wired networks, have you considered Meraki for your wireless?

 

If Cisco are going aggressively enough to undercut the likes of Aruba to get your wired business, I’m sure they’d do the same for wireless and Meraki kit is pretty damn good if you can tolerate the subscription model.

Its not so cheap in Australia. Even "proper Cisco" access points are out pricing them at the moment (Meraki and Cisco are ran as 2 separate businesses). The subscription model is a concern to me. I object to not being able to manage the devices we purchased if we don't keep the software subscription going.

Fair enough. I completely agree with your concerns about the subscription model as well. It’s why I refused to look at them when we were replacing our wireless network

The Support can be a bit of a pain. The only support i believe is community forums. I find Cambium is a better fit for around the same price as it comes with Support included.
