JulietWhiskeyDelta Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 Good Afternoon Folks, After being a long time lurker, I decided to actually register and ask a question. What do you guys normally put on your 'Get out of jail' type USB? Thought I'd take the time to update it amid this corona business, wonder what you all have. Stay Safe J
hardtailstar Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 Working drivers for all school laptops Win7 & 10 Antivirus software Filtering software Office & key Some CMD commands in a text document - ones used less often. Sometimes I have another antivirus software to run scans with but normally just wipe it if stuff found.
localzuk Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 Don't have one really these days - machines that are having issues mostly just get re-imaged - takes less time and gets them back in their user's hands quickest. Drivers, AV etc... is all part of our SCCM task sequence. We used to spend a lot more time diagnosing issues, but it'd mean devices being out of use for longer generally. Can re-image a laptop in 20 minutes.
MatthewL Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 Don't use USB really other than imaging. Use to transfer the odd file when working on PC's away from work but couldn't tell you the last time I used one even though its on my keys.
XiJ Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 Multi boot option - password reset iso and a boot disk to restore an image from a local disk. But don’t use usb much at all these days.
mavhc Posted April 2, 2020 Posted April 2, 2020 https://www.easy2boot.com/ then just put whatever isos you like on it, dban, spinrite, password reset, win7, win10, 800 linux isos
