PRTG - Email Notifications

Does anyone use PRTG or familiar with it?

 

Using it for network monitoring, everything shows on the screen when up and down etc, certain things it seems to email when its down for but not others. From what I can see they are all configured the same but its not happening i.e. emailing me when say a site is down but yet it does for a server.

 

Struggling to make sense of it and its a product I've never used any assistance would be appriciated.

We use PRTG

Have you checked the Notification triggers on the devices not reporting and the timeouts?

We only report if something is down for over 5 mins for example and then we specify what should be reported upon.

Click the sensor, then at the top is the "Notification Triggers"

 

It will then tell you if it is inheriting the triggers or has it set on itself.

 

You can then look at the triggers and it will tell you when it will email, who it will email and also repeat emails etc.

They all appear to be inheriting from the top, some work but others don't appear to.

 

Not sure at the moment if its an issue with the mail relay but wanted to check I had it configured correctly.
